Once we build up a sufficient number of logs of a particular specie, we will begin sawing it into lumber. The first stop along this process is the debarker. The debarker is a machine that turns the logs while grinding off the bark using two knurled wheels. This process removes bark dirt and stones which can dull the blade of the headsaw.
