Straighter Grain, Clearer Lumber, No Glue Lines.

Hardwood squares for legs and turnings are sawn to size before drying. Smaller pieces dry faster and better by reduction of surface checking and internal checks called honeycombing.

Cutting squares from shorter logs allows the sawyer to produce straighter grain pieces and the different sizes help to avoid defects for a clearer product. When available these squares provide a superior product with a natural look of solid hardwood for furniture parts without glue lines.
